Medicare, EPC & Private Health: Is It Covered?
Private Health Rebates
Coverage depends on:
- Your insurer
- Your level of cover
- Your remaining balance
Tip: Ask your fund directly using item codes. We’ll help you with the info you need.
Medicare EPC Referrals
If you qualify for the Chronic Disease Management Plan, your GP can refer you for up to 5 subsidised appointments per year.
- Rebate: approx. $60 per visit
- Requires a GP referral form (we can’t claim without it)
Not Covered:
- Once you’ve used your 5 EPC visits
- If your private extras run out
This is something that we will always explain this upfront, so there are no surprises at the desk.
